Rick Santorum hasn't seen it, but that didn't stop him from responding:
I'd hardly call the harmless jab of sticking a fake Santorum in a gay bar (and then making him seem unhappy to be there) a "hammering from the left," but I'm not trying to ride the victim train to the presidency. I mean, it's not like SNL redefined his name to mean the grossest thing they could think of and then spammed the Internet until that redefinition was pretty much the only thing that came up when you Googled the guy or anything. That would be way meaner.

ReplyDeleteI have to say that I really take issue with people like Santorum (the former senator, not the....oh, nevermind) calling "The Left" intolerant of other points of view.
ReplyDeleteThe classically "liberal" point of view is one of limited power of the state. If you don't like abortion, same sex marriage, or marijuana, then don't don't smoke it, marry someone who shares a gender with you, or have an abortion. However, if I happen to like those things, don't use state power to keep me from doing that.
"Liberals" would be as "intolerant" as Rick Santorum, were the agenda be to use state power to FORCE Santorum to have an abortion, a same sex marriage, and blow dope.
That would be mean. Someone should do that :)

ReplyDeleteIts so true that many people with liberal ideas completely go past disagreeing with those whom have conservative ideas.. they go all the way to hating them and calling them unjustified names like a bigot or looking to cyber bomb their names. It is all because someone disagrees with the liberal ideals.. wait I thought a liberal view stood for freedom and that everyone is entitled to their own belief..
