  2. Another candidate for Headline of the year:

Poll: Santorum comes from behind in Alabama three-way

I'm told an Alabama 3 way involves a donkey and aritcles from Victoria's Secret.

    2. Maher is a marginal intellect (not that I am saying he is an intellectual) and thanks to this despicable ass named Dan Savage, America took one more step into the abyss.

A professor did extensive research and wrote a book on civilizations that equated same-sex relations with normal, heterosexual relations that hold a society together. I can't recall his name but he was on BookTV about 3 years ago. In approximately 125 societies that did as such, each one of them was gone within 100 years because it is the family unit that binds all societies. But that doesn't matter to the radical gays as they leave nothing behind. I am all for them doing what they like behind closed door AND even having legal right to pass property. But they are not protected under the 14th Amendment, or the Constitution means nothing. And it was so lovely that my HS daughter came home and asked me if I knew what Rick Santorum's name really meant and told me to look it up as she could not state it to me. Unlike this low-life piece of garbage that started this blog, I'm raising kids with morals and informed her to not believe all she hears as twisted minds make up the most vile things. He, in his dark lonely moments, knows he is no better than the substance that he claims to have coined as a meaning. He is nothing, he contributes nothing, and he leaves nothing. I would say to put him down like a rabid animal, but I prefer to see his kind suffer for their deeds. His parents must be very proud of what he has made of his life.

They say some shit floats. Well here's to you, Dan Savage. You are floating for all to see. Enjoy your 15 minutes. It's just about over.

    3. Nice scare tactics. Out if 125 civilizations all were gone? Gee, it is convenient that you can't name even one. I could guess why, though: they never existed in the first place. The concept of equality has simply not existed that long. Heck, 125 years ago women could not vote. An then, as now, there were "people of faith on both sides of the issue ". Of course back then there were hateful people like you, claiming equality would bring doom and gloom. Oh and 14th amendment does not protect gays? Well thanks to 14ththe amendment you don't get to say who has rights and who doesn't.
"I would say to put him down like a rabid animal, but I prefer to see his kind suffer for their deeds". If I were Dan Savage I would report this to the FBI as a threat.

    4. @ Michael Walsh:

Dan lives with his husband and their adopted son -- I'm a marginal intellect, but I believe that is called a family unit.

Santorum equated gay sex with bestiality (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-04-23-santorum-excerpt_x.htm) and, more recently, gay marriage with polygamy (http://youtu.be/CGzsHURVE7Q). The bestiality comment inspired Dan to run a contest in 2003 for his readers to create a new definition for Santorum to help bring attention to this bigotry.

So, I guess Dan's 15 minutes started in 2003. Since he feels no reason to be ashamed of his life with his family and feels he is being attacked (isn't he?), he expressed his anger at Santorum and his ilk through some vulgar humor. He never advocated putting down a fellow human being as a "rabid animal". Good thing Dan isn't a senator: he could do some really serious damage.

    5. @ Michael Walsh:

A couple of things that occured to me as I was preparing breakfast...

1.) Which is more "moral"? "I would say to put him down like a rabid animal, but I prefer to see his kind suffer for their deeds", or comparing a hateful bigot to a noxious mix of lube and fecal matter?

2.) You must have done something right -- your daughter sounds like she's hilarious: "Hey, Dad, look what I found on the internet!"

  4. Rick Santorum: a cult of one

It is truly ironic for American Protestants to favor Rick Santorum over Mitt Romney because they consider Mormonism to be a “cult,” when in reality Santorum is a cult of one in American politics. There is no reason to believe that Romney would legislate against Protestants. However, if wild-eyed, derisive rants are any indication of future political actions, Santorum just might.

After all, in a 2008 speech made at Ave Maria college, Santorum flat-out said what he really believes: that the Roman Catholic Church is the only true church, and that “mainstream, mainline” Protestantism has been seduced by the “Father of Lies” to such an extent that Protestants are no longer Christians in their “vanity” and “pride” (both hallmarks of the Devil).

Yes, Santorum is honest, but then most KKK members are honest about their disdain for people with darker skin. Anyone who studies Santorum’s obsessive-compulsive rants against contraceptives, non-procreational sex, prenatal testing, higher education, working mothers and Protestantism will soon realize that he is so far right that he makes Rush Limbaugh look positively liberal. Santorum would be Church Lady hilarious if he wasn’t two steps from the White House.

  5. Homosexuality is a normal part of just about every species in the animal kingdom and it's just a natural variation in evolution, scientific studies show that it has no negative effect and more often than not, a net positive effect on the overall well-being of the population; Sometimes gay animal couples even adopt & raise orphaned youths! But this is just coming from my own knowledge ( a biologist @ Boise State) I guess that's my two cents. Santorum (the awkward closeted gay man, not the substance) stopped being funny when he got this close to the White House, but now it's over for him and he can go back to being a joke that everyone but himself thinks is funny. I love how constitution purists go against it when someone doesn't agree with them; IE. Taking an American Citizen's life for his/her use of free speech or lifestyle. It's complete and utter lunacy.
